Duke Innovation Studio: Spring ’21 Cohort Demo Day
Duke Innovation Studio is a student-run accelerator supporting aspiring student founders and cultivating entrepreneurial talent among Blue Devils. We offer founders the engineering talent, professional mentorship, and structured programming to bring their idea from inception to reality. We match founders with passionate engineers and product managers, find the right mentors to guide their journey, and provide programming to develop their entrepreneurial toolkit in order to foster innovation within our Duke community.
Demo Day
Get excited! Our official Innovation Studio Demo Day will be taking place on April 22nd from 5–7 PM EST. This public event is an opportunity for our founders to pitch their startup to a wider audience and attract greater interest and funding for their startup from potential users and investors. Midpoint GBM
On Wednesday, March 3rd, our teams pitched their startups at our Midpoint GBM. Each of the five teams from our inaugural cohort presented their work, including product demos. The teams pitched to a panel including faculty advisors at Duke I&E and partners at Rev. Rev Curriculum
Working with our partners at Rev, our teams have set out on a 12-week accelerator curriculum to help advance their idea to product. Here are some of the outcomes that the Rev accelerator platform has helped our startups achieve:
- Learn the fundamentals of scaling a startup
- Generate meaningful product and sales traction
- Grow their network of fellow innovators, mentors, and strategic partners
- Learn how to fundraise, accessing investor portal with 1000+ early-stage investors
In addition to their Slack Workflow-based curriculum, Rev also provided our startup teams with 1 on 1 meetings to work on their pitching techniques and pitch decks. Looking forward to our future collaborations, they will be hosting a pre-Demo Day workshop for our cohort soon!
